Huawei HiSuite is a product (or service) operated by Huawei Device Co., Ltd. and its global subsidiaries (hereinafter referred to as "Huawei", "we", "us", or "our") that provides data backup and recovery, system update and upgrade for your mobile devices. We understand the importance of your personal information, and will do our best to protect it. We promise that we will take appropriate security measures to protect your personal information according to established industry security standards.

(1) Backup and recovery

To provide you with backup and recovery services, we need to collect your following information:

Device information, including device identifier, operating system, device name, device model, device IP, and device hardware information (such as CPU model and ROM/RAM information).

Computer software information, including HiSuite version and operating system version.

Your preceding data is only stored locally and will not be uploaded to Huawei servers.

(2) Mobile phone system update and repair

To promptly provide you with system update and repair services, we need to collect your following information:

Device information, including device identifier, device name, device model, device CPU model, ROM/RAM information, and system version.

Computer network information, including your IP address.

The purpose of collecting such information is to provide a matching ROM version for your device.

We will use your personal information in the following ways: Find and push the appropriate ROM version for your device based on the device and system information you provide, as well as download the latest ROM and update your system after obtaining your authorisation to resolve the risks that may exist in the system.

If you do not provide such information, we will not be able to update your system and fix the existing security risks.

(3) App updates and downloads

To implement updates and downloads for the apps installed on your system, we need to collect your following information:

App information, including app name and version.

Device information, including device identifier and UDID.

Computer network information, including your IP address and Mac address.

The purpose of collecting such information is to provide a matching app version for your device.

We will use your personal information in the following ways: Find and push the appropriate app version for your device based on the app, device, and system information you provide, and download the latest version of the app after obtaining your authorisation.

If you do not provide such information, we will not be able to find, update, and download the latest version of the app.

(4) Service improvement

To provide you with a better service experience, we need to collect your following information: App statistics and HiSuite usage behaviour data. The purpose of collecting such information is to provide a matching app version for your device.

We will use your personal information in the following ways: Provide you with a better user experience and personalised products and services based on your app statistics and HiSuite usage behaviour data.

To start or stop using this feature, simply check or uncheck Join user experience improvement programme by going to Settings > General in HiSuite.

3. Data Storage Location and Period

(1) Data storage location

The personal information we collect and generate under the mobile phone system update and repair services will be stored on servers in the People's Republic of China

(2) Data storage period

We shall store your personal information only for the time necessary for its purposes, and delete or anonymise your personal information beyond the time set out below, except as otherwise required by applicable laws and regulations.

For mobile phone system update and repair services, the specific retention period of your personal data is as follows:

The aforementioned personal data will be deleted after six (6) months from the last day you interact with us, provided that no business transactions occur during this period.

In addition, if we discontinue our products or services, we will notify you in the form of a push notification, announcement, or other means, and delete your personal information or anonymise it within a reasonable period of time.
